Volume 2 of the Bert Jansch Songbook to be published in August 7 July, 2023

Following the first volume of the Bert Jansch Songbook published in 2017, the eagerly awaited Bert Transcribed: The Bert Jansch Songbook Volume 2 will soon be available via distinguished music publishers, Hal Leonard.

Volume 2 features a further 30 songs from the full breadth of Bert's canon, each meticulously transcribed and annotated by the Bert Jansch Foundation's team of Jansch experts.

Detailing every aspect of Bert’s ground-breaking style and technique, the songbook includes guitar tab, standard notation, chord symbols, guitar chord boxes, melody line and complete lyrics.

The Bert Jansch Songbook Volume 2 will be available on August 23rd 2023 from the Music Room website.

Bert Jansch At The BBC, the new boxset 26 Jul, 2022

After years in the making, we are delighted to announce Bert Jansch At The BBC, an extensive limited edition collection, featuring rare and unreleased tracks straight from the BBC vaults, will be released by Earth Recordings on 4 November 2022.

Meticulously researched and compiled by Bert’s biographer, Colin Harper. Bert Jansch At The BBC includes 147 tracks, including live-on-air spots, pre-recorded studio sessions and full concerts, across 8 CDs or 4 LPs (with download).

The expansive 40-page book accompanying both formats of Bert Jansch At The BBC includes reminiscences by collaborators, broadcasters and producers involved in these recordings, including Jacqui McShee, Bernard Butler and Johnny Marr, Jools Holland, Lauren Laverne, Bob Harris, Mark Radcliffe Stuart Maconie, and many more.

Best Of Live compilation releases in December 1 Dec, 2020

A new Bert Jansch live compilation, Best of Live, is coming to vinyl 11th December 2020. Filmed at The Sheffield Memorial Hall on 22nd April 2006 for Secret Records, it has been issued for the first time as a 2-disc set.

Produced, recorded, mixed and mastered by Roger Lomas, the release features extensive sleeve notes by David Wells. It can be ordered via the Secret Records website.
Crimson Moon 20th Anniversary release 17 Aug, 2020

In its 20th anniversary year, Crimson Moon will be made available on vinyl for the first time as a stand-alone release.

Crimson Moon is some of Bert’s finest work following the renaissance begun in the mid-1990s, with appearances from Johnny Marr, Bernard Butler and many more. The addition of electric guitar subtly compliments Bert’s percussive finger-picking, bringing new depth to his compositions.

Both vinyl and CD will be avaiable from October 9th at the Bert Jansch Bandcamp.
